Celebrity Cruises has officially revealed the names for its first five river ships, set to launch between 2027 and 2028. The first two vessels — Celebrity Compass and Celebrity Seeker — will debut in August 2027 with Danube and Rhine sailings.
Three additional ships will follow in 2028: Celebrity Wanderer, Celebrity Roamer, and Celebrity Boundless. The naming theme emphasizes exploration and discovery, fitting for a line that promises to take travelers deeper into European culture and destinations.

Each ship offers five stateroom categories, from River View staterooms on Deck 1 to the top-deck Skylight Infinite Balcony Suites. Celebrity has also confirmed plans for 10 total ships by the end of 2028, with the remaining five names yet to be announced.
What Makes These Ships Different
All five ships will feature Celebrity's patent-pending river ship design, including the Magic Edge cantilevered dining pods, an exterior infinity pool, 8 restaurants and bars, and a hybrid propulsion system for reduced environmental impact. The ships are being built with lightweight hulls for improved navigation on European rivers.
Celebrity introduced the fleet names at the ASTA River Cruise Expo, where attendees got to experience the ships through virtual reality technology — a first for any river cruise line announcement.
