Celebrity River Cruises launches in August 2027 with 33 seven-night sailings on Europe’s two most iconic waterways — the Danube and Rhine. Each itinerary is designed to showcase the best of Central Europe’s culture, history, and cuisine, with at least one included shore excursion at every port of call.
The Danube Collection
Celebrity’s Danube itineraries sail between Budapest, Hungary and Passau, Germany — a 7-night journey through four countries. These sailings operate on the Celebrity Compass and Celebrity Seeker, the line’s first two purpose-built river ships.
Classic Danube: Budapest to Passau (7 Nights)
Ports of Call: Budapest (Hungary) → Bratislava (Slovakia) → Vienna (Austria) → Dürnstein (Austria) → Melk (Austria) → Linz (Austria) → Passau (Germany)
Highlights: Parliament building illumination cruise in Budapest, guided walking tour of Bratislava’s medieval Old Town, Vienna’s Imperial Palace and Ringstrasse, wine tasting in the Wachau Valley, Melk Abbey visit, and a cycling excursion along the Danube in Passau.
Reverse Danube: Passau to Budapest (7 Nights)
The same stunning ports in reverse order, with a different perspective on the river. Downstream sailings offer slightly more relaxation time as the ship moves with the current. Depart from Passau and finish in Budapest, perfect for pairing with a pre- or post-cruise stay in one of Europe’s most beautiful capitals.
The Rhine Collection
Celebrity’s Rhine sailings are available as select holiday departures in late 2027, including coveted Christmas Markets sailings. These 7-night cruises travel through the Rhine Valley — a UNESCO World Heritage Site famous for its hilltop castles, terraced vineyards, and storybook villages.
Rhine Holiday Markets: Amsterdam to Basel (7 Nights)
Ports of Call: Amsterdam (Netherlands) → Cologne (Germany) → Koblenz (Germany) → Rüdesheim (Germany) → Strasbourg (France) → Breisach (Germany) → Basel (Switzerland)
Highlights: Amsterdam’s canal district, Cologne Cathedral and its famous Weihnachtsmarkt, scenic cruising past the Lorelei Rock, wine tasting in Rüdesheim’s Drosselgasse, Strasbourg’s Christkindelsmärik (one of Europe’s oldest Christmas markets), and Basel’s festive Barfüsserplatz market.

2028 & Beyond
Celebrity has announced plans for 10 ships by 2028, with Celebrity Wanderer, Celebrity Roamer, and Celebrity Boundless joining the fleet. The expanded fleet will open up additional rivers and itineraries across Europe. We’ll update this page as new routes are announced.
