Celebrity River Cruises has officially opened bookings for its 2028 European river cruise season, and the expansion is massive. The sophomore season features an 80 percent increase in destinations compared to the inaugural 2027 deployment, with three new ships joining the fleet and entirely new waterways added to the itinerary lineup.
Three New Ships for 2028
Building on the success of Celebrity Compass and Celebrity Seeker (launching 2027), three additional ships will enter service in 2028:

- Celebrity Boundless
All five ships carry the same revolutionary design features that created enormous buzz when first revealed — including the Magic Edge cantilevered dining pods, infinity-edge plunge pools, and the most usable outdoor space of any river ship. Each vessel accommodates 172 guests in five stateroom categories with king-sized beds and complimentary stocked mini bars.
Dutch and Belgian Waterways Added
The biggest itinerary news is the addition of Dutch and Belgian Waterways alongside the existing Rhine and Danube routes. This opens up entirely new river cruise experiences for Celebrity guests:

24 New Ports and a Bucharest Overnight
The 2028 season introduces 24 new ports of call, significantly expanding the geographic reach of Celebrity River Cruises across Europe. A standout addition is the Lower Danube itinerary featuring a Celebrity-first overnight land stay in Bucharest, Romania — allowing guests to explore one of Eastern Europe’s most vibrant capitals in depth.

Celebrity’s 2028 river cruise pricing starts at $3,069 per person for a six-night Danube sailing, with seven-night Dutch and Belgian Tulip Season voyages starting from approximately $4,999 per person.
